As I was wandering around a thriftshop I discovered a wooden figurine.  I was totally captured by its fines of carvings details. As I was studying the figurine further I discovered it has been carved by a person named Felician Mbamse from Tanzania out of the Mwanza region. Dating back April 1967.

I had to buy it!!!! How on earth did it end up in a thriftshop? European travelers bought something locally? My mind was thinking every possible way how the story may have been. How it was for Felician to make this figurine. How he may have felt after one of his arts was bought.

I honored his/her work through usage of old clothing, oil pastels, thick acrylic paint and its surface is a canvas. Four times 30×40 c.m.

I want to thank Felician for this opportunity to make this art piece although the 'thank you' cannot be brought to him. I don't know if he is dead or alive. I hope in Spirit it is felt.

The process was a meaningful love affair if you will hence I called it Tanzanian Lover.
