About the work
This piece you are looking at might seem pretty straightforward at first glance. Many of you probably recognize it immediately. Familiar imagery, a figure you've seen before, but that's not exactly where the surface ends.
Its title is Choose Your God, and no, I'm not asking you to pick the obvious deity. In fact, feel free to choose another.
Anyone you prefer, choose a different god, or why not choose science itself as your god?
Because this work isn't really about one figure or one faith. It’s about something bigger.
The idea that there’s so much more beyond what we understand—beyond the physical world we see with our eyes and touch with our hands. Something immense, mysterious, and maybe even personal.
Choose ideas, concepts, something that lifts you up beyond what you see or experience every day.
This piece was shown at an exhibition before, and like with all my works, I don't give detailed descriptions. Instead, I provided keywords, inviting viewers to interpret and feel rather than be told what to think.
Because sometimes choosing a god or a belief or simply a new perspective is the start of discovering something unexpected within ourselves, and perhaps within someone and/or our surroundings, really.
What you're really looking at is a composition of a male mannequin doll, printed fabric with various deities, industrial wires, and epoxy resin.
