The Idea Behind the Art: This work is a transformation. It began as a canvas assemblage that didn’t feel quite right in its frame, so I chose to liberate the art by cutting it into pieces. By stapling these fragments onto a mannequin, I’ve given the materials a second life—preserving the soul of the initial work while giving it a new, sculptural form.
